Half-Day Rafting Trips Twice Daily (9:00am & 1:30pm)

Class II-III (introductory)

Season: April - September

Minimum Age - 5

Lake Tahoe has 63 streams that flow into it and only one that flows out, the Truckee River.  Flowing north to the town of Truckee before turning east and flowing out of the mountains through Reno and into the Nevada desert. Unlike the mellow "float" section of the river in Tahoe City, the Lower Truckee Gorge section has Class II and III rapids that make for a fun and exciting ride. This guided whitewater trip starts off mellow and slowly builds to a mile of continuous class III rapids just before the end. This stretch is great for first timers to get comfortable in the boat, and to get used to paddling while being exciting enough for seasoned rafters and thrill seekers on a time crunch.

Flowing from its source high up in the Ice House Wilderness Area, the Carson River takes you from high elevation pine forest down to the Nevada basin desert. This Class II rafting trip is great for the whole family and even the most experienced rafters consider the Carson a must do trip, for what it lacks in whitewater is more than compensated by hot springs, great camping, amazing scenery and crystal clear water. Offered as a one day trip or a two day hot spring camping adventure.
